1. Service

UddoktaPay Shopify Connector ("the connector") is a Shopify application that bridges a merchant's Shopify store with the merchant's own self-hosted UddoktaPay installation. The connector creates payment invoices on UddoktaPay against Shopify orders, re-verifies completed payments through UddoktaPay's verify endpoint, and tags the Shopify order with uddoktapay_paid on success.

2. Eligibility

To use the connector you must:

• Operate an active Shopify store.
• Operate (or have access to) an UddoktaPay installation reachable over HTTPS and an API key for it.
• Hold whatever underlying gateway accounts (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, Bank) you intend to accept, under your own merchant agreements with those providers.
• Comply with Bangladesh financial regulations applicable to your business.

3. Accounts and credentials

You are responsible for safeguarding your Shopify and UddoktaPay credentials. The connector stores merchant UddoktaPay API keys encrypted at rest; loss or theft of credentials outside the connector is your responsibility.

4. Payments

Neither the connector nor UddoktaPay holds funds. UddoktaPay is self-hosted orchestration software that routes the buyer to one of the underlying gateway providers (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, Bank). Funds settle directly from those gateway providers to the merchant's accounts under the merchant's own contracts with each provider. Settlement timelines, fees, refund mechanics and chargeback rules are governed by those underlying provider agreements, not by us and not by UddoktaPay.

The connector reports a Shopify order as paid only after re-verifying the payment with UddoktaPay's verify endpoint. If UddoktaPay reports a payment as ERROR or PENDING, the Shopify order remains in its current state and the merchant must reconcile manually.

5. Availability

The connector is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in-app when practical.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use the connector to:

• Process payments for goods or services prohibited by UddoktaPay's or Shopify's acceptable-use policies.
• Submit synthetic transactions, fraud test traffic, or abusive automation.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or sub-license the connector outside Shopify's app distribution.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if the connector is used in violation of these terms, of Shopify's Partner Program Agreement, or of UddoktaPay's terms. Merchants may uninstall at any time from Shopify Admin; all shop data is purged within 48 hours per Shopify's shop/redact webhook.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the connector's publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or payment-settlement disputes between merchant and UddoktaPay.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via in-app banner. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
